It's time once again!

FSU Semester kicks off August 23rd (someone correct me if I'm wrong), we need to decide on a date for this. I'm going to kick this off with some suggestions for a date. After a few days, a poll will go up and the date will be picked based on the Vote. We'll follow that up with a discussion/vote for location and we will be good to go! Let's get this thing going!!!!

Looks like Sunday, August 29th is the leading candidate on both forums. If we're reaching a consensus, I'd like to hear some suggestions for a place to cruise to. Either way, places to cruise/eat would be appreciated. Post up, People!

we have Grandaddy's BBQ up here. i have ate there once and it was good. they are kind of limited on space but you can always call and ask about reserving some space. it is on 84, right after the overpass crosses over hwy 19 going into thomasville.

I don't know what everyone wants to spend on lunch, but what about finding a nice park and having it catered there ? For instance, the Granddaddy's place will cater on-site for an additional $1.99 per person. So for right at $10 per person you could get on-site catering with a BBQ meat plate with two sides and garlic bread. Pretty good deal without the stuffy restaurant atmosphere.

Just throwing out thoughts.

Honestly, I think catering would be to complicated and people would have to pay in advance, cause no one is going to front the money for that.

The catering is a great idea, but then again, I usually have a hard time getting just a final head-count of who's planning on showing that there's no way I'd front the money for people to say they'll show up and just back out at the last minute. I'll snag that # and give them a call and see if they can accommodate us. Thanks for the suggestion, Ben!

Wife +1 in the BMWYes, the date is set for Sunday, 8/29. That was the date selected between both forums and the majority vote winner. Thomasville will be the site, exact location TBD.

Someone on TI asked about times, so here's what I got:

I'll try to narrow it down for y'all within the next week. Unless otherwise suggested, it'll more than likely be setup like the last cruise. Two Meet Locations: 10:30-11a meet time @ Doak for those around campus, and an 11-11:30a meet time @ Bradfordville Publix for the Northsiders. Departing Publix around 11:30p to arrive in the Thomasville area around Noonish.

Thoughts or Suggestions to changes for this plan, anyone? It seemed to have worked quite well last time.

Really, all that means is that when I'm bringing the caravan that meets up at Doak at 10:30a, I'll just be looking for your truck first in the Publix Parking Lot. Additionally, other members meeting up there can know just to look for your truck as well. Of course, that is if you don't mind.

Hope to see everyone that can make it to this event on Sunday!

Yea no problem...its pretty easy to spot!!

Definitely a good time with all who came out. Lots of fun on the ride up and back with some special friends stopping a few of us to say hello. Can't wait to see some of the pics and the video that Elliot took.
