Like the title states I want to buy "The Machine" also known as "The Computer" or "The Diagnostic Computer". Apparently this awsome machine can find any problem on a car in under 30 seconds. This might range from a nail in the tire to an oil leak or a whine going down the road. If anyone has a lead to "The Machine" please let me know ASAP.
Some people are so stupid...

Thats a good one. I get things like that all the time. I tell them I would be happy to let them know whats wrong with the car as soon as they can bring it in for my technician to look at it. USUALLY the next thing is "Do you charge to look at it" I answer no I do not charge you a thing to look at your car, but if you want me to find the problem I do have to charge for that.

Yea or when you put the scanner on it and tell them what is wrong and then they say "you didnt do anything" and get mad when you tell them there is a diag charge.

I make sure that they sign for money on the ticket before the car even comes in the shop. They are approving a diag fee. For new customers I even circle it. This has saved me problems in the past doing it that way too.

I like when people call wanting an estimate over the phone, and get rude when I tell them they need to bring the car in. One time, a customer caught me at a time when I was feeling like a smartass, and I told them to hold the phone close to the dented panel so I could see the dent up close.

when i worked at the bike shop i loved when the customer would bring in a bike that had been sitting for 2 years and say it was running fine when i parked it and then get pissed when you tell the its gonna be 4-500 bucks to clean and rebuild carbs and change all the fluids and so on...all they can seem to come up with is that it ran fine when they parked it and dont understand why it needs so much.or or when you change a rear tire and suddenly there bike sputters and they say it wasnt like that when i brought it in.....fuckin hosers...lol
