I have a 2004 Mazda 3 five door with the sport auto trans. It shifts up through the gears okay till it gets to 4th then acts like it's slipping at which point it goes back to 3rd and pulls okay. The manual mode no longer works if I try that.
At first it had no light on the dash but threw a PO762 code for shift solenoid C stuck on. I pulled the pan and it had no debris in the pan or filter. I pulled shift solenoid C and A and applied 12v to them. They both have an audible click but no visible change in anything you can see. I swapped the two solenoids since they looked identical and filled it with fluid for another test drive. The symptoms are identical but now it turns on the AT light but throws no code. My software for OBD II doesn't have the ability to check freeze frames so i don't know if it set anything there or not.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If any tranny experts want to take it off my hands as is I'll sell it for $4500. It's a LOADED Mazda 3 hatchback with every option except nav. It has leather seats, power moon roof, 6 disc CD, xenon headlights, 17" alloy wheels, and is very clean. Bought new and has had 3000 mile oil changes. Currently has almost 107,000 miles. That price is half of clean retail and below rough trade in, so somebody could either get a good deal on a ride or make a few bucks for their trouble.
