it is coming from what appears to be the front of the motor, or at least that is where it is the loudest.

here is a soundclip

http://www.movie-host.net/upload/store/soundclip2.mov

it only does it after being fully cold (like sitting for 5-6-7 hours or overnight) when the motor is warming up (first starts like 3 minutes after initial startup). it goes away shortly after (like 3-4 minutes)

after that it wont come back unless the car sits for an extremely long time (like overnight)

no power loss, driving problems, or anything like that

wtf

any ideas??

leave it it sounds like there is a little lip on the belt thats overlaping and rubing on a high spot on a pulley and when the belt heats up its stretching out and goes away.give it some time and it will go away

I can say, without a doubt, that is one of your idler pulleys. My 99' did the same thing and just got worse over time. You can get a new one from the dealership or you can replace just the bearing. If I remember correctly, the bearing is a standard type that you can pick up at just about any bearing supply house, it's alot cheaper that way.

I am unable to play it, but if it is a belt noise take some dielectric grease and wipe a swath across the outside and inside of the belt. A little goes a long way here. If it is a belt noise this will eliminate it for awhile.
