Finally got around to starting this now that I have a dremel. Copypasta from another forum I'm on.
Here's mine:
FX-R, 55W Morimoto's with 4300K.
Initial start-up:

After 10 second warm-up:

I'm really impressed at how well built these ballasts are. Really heavy and sturdy, and thick silicon insulation and tight connections.

One headlight almost done, other one getting pre-cut

And the dremel set I got. Gotta love Harbor Freight

Now if only Lowe's was open...

I cannot wait for these bulbs to burn in properly. A slight tinge of yellow, then they'll burn off to 5000K towards their 150hr lifetime. But crazy bright nonetheless.
Nighttime pics:
I did a horrible job of holding the camera steady for this shot. This shows the beam shooting skyward to a low ceiling of 3,000 ft clouds above.

Off to Lowe's in the morning for some mounting

Projectors mounted down:

http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k227/Raptor05121/DSC_2044.jpg
Then I mounted them to the truck for test firing and projector alignment:

http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k227/Raptor05121/DSC_2045.jpg
I then removed them and sealed them up with high-temp silicone.

The shrouds had to be cut:

$350 kit from the retrofitsource.com
$150 OEM Lightning headlights painted black
$10 hardware (silicone & screws)
$50 dremel & 250 piece set
they are 55W Morimoto 4300K D2R bulbs in a FX-R bi-xenon projector.
My drivers side projector is skewed a bit. But here's a .GIF of several different beam patterns:
http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k227/Raptor05121/AWESOME.gif
1.) Low Beam
2.) High Beam
3.) High Beam & Foglights
4.) Low Beam & Foglights
5.) Foglights
This shows the foreground cutoff and close up of the actual housings. The foglights fill in this area nicely. The 65W Sylvania Silverstar Ultras I have in there now blend in better than I thought.

But I'm VERY pleased with how it turned out. Here is another comparative shots. The camera was placed in the spot the driver of a small car would be.
Low Beam:

High Beam:

And finally, a shot from inside the cab of the truck. Keep in mind I have 35% tint.

Down-the road pics here soon (I'm in the middle of nowhere, this should be good)

You should get much, much more than 150 hours out of those. Unless you meant to type 1500 which is closer to what you should get, between 1500-2000 easily.

I was referring to the burn-in time, by 150 hours they should go from 4300K to 4500K. 500 hours should put me at 5000K

Pretty cool. Definitely looks much better done than most HID retrofits. Good job Alex.

You have 35% on the windshield?

Thanks man. The FX-Rs make a pretty good low beam but I hear stock S2000 projectors are the best low-beam available. But I wanted bi-xenon.
Yeah. 35% from JohnBs. $75. non-FHP approved (ask me how I know lol). i got it done during thesummer. my A/c couldnt keep up when i when i was delivering. i thought it would hurt my nighttime vision but the projectors make up for it.

They didn't make you scrape it off ? TPD had someone pulled over on the interstate yesterday, first time I've seen that. Maybe I don't get out enough.

You think that's odd, the Gretna PD has been sitting out on 10 just past the Greensboro exit.

Yeah, S2000 headlights are hard to beat. I love them. That was the cherry on top when I was looking to buy a car. I hate dim headlights.
Damn man, that's crazy. I wouldn't ever tint my windshield... at least not with 35%.

Lol, all one of em?
Really though, how many do they have? My grandparents live in Gretna... it's tiny.
