I know everybody goes to Ryan for their tires, but over the course of my stay at TMCA I have got the impression he doesn't like me too well, which is fine. I don't like any drama or anything so I opted not to even try. For the record, I have no issue with him.
Anyway...
So, basically I needed tires for my wifes XB. I have 17's on it now but I have been wanting to get her old 18's back on there. Since I had a choice, I was searching for 215/45/17's or 225/40/18's.
Best price I could fine, on a somewhat decent tire (60k warranty) was at Ryans Custom Trucks here in Perry.
The 18's, total price, came to like $483.xx, after taxes/install/mount/balance.
The 17's came to $406.xx (mount balance, ect).
I lamented to my boss that tires aren't cheap and he said to call Ford. So I did.
Same tire (Nexen S5000, 60k warranty) for $420.46 (taxes,mount/ect included). Not the best tires, I know, but they seem to have decent reviews and she doesn't autoX or anything.
The Ford dealership was the last place I thought I'd find a good deal on tires.
There's several places online to get tires cheap, but they are CHEAP tires, like Sunny and whatnot. I'd rather not have my wife rollin on uber cheap stuff (just semi cheap stuff :P). But once you figured in shipping and mounting/balance+ taxes, the great deal you got online isn't so great anymore.
I like giving my business to local guys so I'm glad my moneys is somewhat staying in the community rather than somebody else out of state.
Anyway, tires will be here tomorrow and should be able to get em on tomorrow also. Lookin forward to seein the XB on the 18's again :)
So yeah, Ford Dealership is a good place to get tires if you don't have the hookup elsewhere. :secret:
Some pics of t3h rideness.
How I bought it.

On some 15's, when the 18's wore out.

It's on some 17" Konigs now, lowered. I'll get a pic of it before the 18's go back on. Dude had 225/45's on the 18's before and I was not pleased with the tire size. I think 40's will look much better and hoepfully scrub a lil less :) 225/35's were just too thin.
