i know some of you have your preferences, but i want everyone's opinions. what would sound best? i'm not looking so much for performance. i'm gonna have a hard enough time keeping the tires on the ground as it is. but what would sound better with this setup...stock 98-99 manifolds, 3" single pipe with 3" high flow cat with a 3" single in single out muffler. magnaflow or flowmaster. im looking for a quiet ride when i cruising but i want a good sound under acceleration and WOT. for flowmaster, i'm thinking either 50 series delta or maybe 40 series delta. i know the 40 series is pretty loud all the time. i just want to be able to talk in the truck without having to shout while i'm going down the interstate. what would be the best for me? thanks a lot.

dynomax ultraflow is what you want

if you go flowmaster, only get the race series

get a cutout also for the track and dyno, its only like 30 bucks

and the street

I capped mine the other day for all of 15 minutes and I could barely even hear the exhaust from inside, so I promptly removed the cap.

i think i'll probably get the flowmaster and i'll probably get an electric cutout. that way i can change it without having to jack up the truck. its impossible to crawl under the truck without jacking it up.

My buddy has magnaflow on his 00 Z28 and it sounds good at idle and really opens up when you give it some gas. I would go with that!

Whoops, I gave you some bad info. He actually has a Dynomax muffler.

Its the 289-17227 that he has on his car but there might be a better inlet/outlet combo for your truck

yeah i have dynamax and they are very mellow at idle which i like but wot they are deep and aggressive but they could be a little louder
and they are inexpensive

i used to have magnaflows, but they were quieter that my old single flowmaster on my stock manifolds, so I decided to go back to em, and I have gotten SEVERAL complements. I love em!

i've seen just about all the bagged trucks here i town. the only one that really impresses me is the tacoma. it looks hella sweet with the custom rear setup.
