Anybody here have any experience with installing HID conversion kits on Mustangs (or any vehicle for that matter)? I'm trying to get an idea of what kits brands are good and which ones to avoid. One of the guys at car quest recommended a kit with Philips ballsts which he said are the key (meaning get a good ballast), but the Philips ballast kits are hard to find...not to mention rather pricey.

I have a set on my mustang. i got mine from audio addications. His set was a whole lot easier to install then the set i have on my escape. Here a pic with mine i had to replace a bulb after i took the pic that why one brighter then the other. These are also 8000k i have 10000 on the 05

got highs lows and fogs in the truck. its ridiculous how bright they are and as long as you aim them right you wont mess with other drivers. got 18 months outta the first set of headlamps and two years outta the fogs. for 75 bucks i can live with that

I used to sell (and install) HID conversion kits. The company I got them through is XenonEyes.com (http://www.xenoneyes.com/) .
I've still got a page up (http://www.jerrystout.us/hid/index.htm) where I kind of go into detail about them, with some pictures of the kits and whatnot, if you want to check it out.
I'm no longer selling them so don't click the Order button. :D I can say that these kits are top-notch and this company is in the US. Of course all the parts don't come from the US but for warranty purposes ... I used the same kits in the cars I owned.

Another vote for DDM Tuning HID kits. It might take a little while to get your order but for the price ($35 + shipping) you get a lifetime warranty.
