I have been working on my 93 gt after It starts and is running for about 3 seconds it sounds like the starter gear is still trying to engage,I have replaced the starter,I have shimmed it also, and I have replaced the solenoid on the firewall and cannot figure it out,why would it have two solenoids I am not sure with this setup, could it be the ignition switch maybe, anybody have an idea? Thanks:scratch:

it has an excite wire going to the starter, but also has a solenoid on the driver side. both the excite wire and the 12v feed, go to the right side of the solenoid. its because in 94 they went to a different setup.

If you have the solenoid on the fender and on the starter, the problem is the solenoid on the starter needs a constant power.

So on the original solenoid run a constant power to the solenoid on the starter and use the switched side of the original solenoid to run to the trigger of the starter solenoid.

Dealt with this problem back in '96 :)
