I can't believe I just found this forum! I'm looking to get back in the car scene after about 4 years. I have a wife, a 3.5 y/o daughter, and a 8 m/o son so that's where I've been lol. My name is Jeremy and I have a '97 Regal GS that I'm starting to mod and would like to go to some tracks and such, but none of my friends are into cars. Also, where in the hell can I get some 3" custom exhaust done around here? Everywhere I go they look at me like I'm crazy! Thanks in advance

Welcome to the board.

As for the exhaust, I would buy a pre-made cat back because I dont really think any of us trust anyone to do exhaust work around these parts.

Welcome aboard. I wouldn;t rely on any of the exhaust shops here for custom work either. Probably better off unless getting a prefabbed kit unless you could get down to Orlando or Miami, which is feasible for some of us since most of us are college kids based out of town.

What, Mark, Kinson, Todd and I aren't what you had in mind? Oh that's right- we're OLD-old.

Most of the folks on the board are in their twenties, but there are some of us here that are "a little older than that".

Don't worry, I'm 25, but feel 35! I was thinking of buying all the mandrel 90* and u-bends and cutting them myself, then taping them the way I want them and taking the whole thing to get welded. I'm on my lunch break now so I gotta get back to work,(Publix). Thanks for the hospitality!

The one on Sringhill? I actually went there today after work, lol. The lady there had no idea what mandrel bent meant, but I talked to the machanic and he said he would do it without mandrel pipe for cash. I'll be going back next week to get it done! Also, they had some 3" pipe leftover from something and there wasn't as much of a difference in the size of the pipe on a 90* bend as I thought. Do you suppose mandrel bends might make THAT big of a difference? All I want is to run high 12's  !

Hopefully with my 3" catless exhaust, 3.25 pulley, s&s headers, ghetto intake, 160* t-stat, autolite 104's, and some traction t/a's, hopefully at least low 13's! I might buy the modular pulley system and get a 3.0 for track/dyno use :D !
