So are trucks alowed in the club :?:
Im 16 and dont get my actual drivers liscence till this summer  Its a long story, but made short, work on summer, bad grades during the school year, didnt get my learners till this past summer.
But I have a 1999 Chevy S10 ZR2. Future plans are a Borla cat back exhaust, Venom400 ECU, MSD Ignition system, new roller rocker arms, new cam, and eventually later later later a supercharger. Eaton prefferably, might just go with Vortech.
Its got the 4.3L obviously and an automatic unfortunently :( But its fun and fast :)
I know about yall through Matt (pndrgn) and known him for a while. So can I be in the club?
:headbang:

Ah come on man, Matt doesnt drive THAT bad :headbang:
Ive riden with him several times, his driving seems alot...well.....what mine will probably be if my second vehicle is a muscle car.
Im going to be saving for another car over the next couple years. I really want to get something like an old 69' Camaro, drop in a 350, bore it out. Edlebrock intake manifold, holley 4bbl carb, borla headers and exhaust (I like borla)....but I also want an old Jeep CJ7 with a 350 :D (My brother has a Jeep club, NFJ that meets at hooters every week or other week. He has the gunmetal blue jeep on 31x10.50, the idiot who drives worse then Matt :bryant: )
So bah, can never make up my mind on anything. I took me 4 months just to decide what I wanted to use to build my new pc.

Im 16, I dont have 5grand for an LS1 crate motor :p
I want to put a 350 HO crate motor, paired with an Edlebrock intake manifold and Holley 750CFM carb.....And that would run around 3grand. Put me about 360hp and 380lb ft of torque
http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=4227&prmenbr=361
or just get engine package2 of this-
http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/ProductDisplay?prrfnbr=146671&prmenbr=361
and work up from there.
Or could get this- http://www.gmpartsdepot.com/store/product1.asp?SID=8&Product_ID=963
If I had the money I could get this- http://www.gmpartsdepot.com/store/product1.asp?SID=8&Product_ID=962
Argh.........I want one but it would be alot of money, and gas milage would go to crap. Ill just wait till I graduate to get the 350.

used ls1 should run around 3 g's and get good gas mileage, i reckon that zz4 probably gets 9mpg on a good day, and well carbs just suck gas

Like I said....If I had the money :D
Isnt the LS1 like 22 or 25mpg?
Cant I fit an LS1 in my S10 and still have a good weight ratio, adequate braking and still maintain good off-roading ability. Would that engine take badly to sand?

im not sure..... but, i think no engine will take kindly to sand in it.

TBI man... i know where you can get a killer deal on a TBI 350 with only a minor problem above 3800-4000 rpm this summer = ). I'm sure it'd move your little Chevy alot better than my big slow Chevy. Seriously though, you don't want my motor... no one with half a brain cell would. A friend of mine named Matt from back home has a Case (computer case) IDENTICAL to yours and a 5 speed 2 door Blazer with some similar plans as yours. He decided on getting a Vortec 350 (trying to be like me). You could get a used one really cheap, or a new long block for like $1600 if you feel like hunting down the intake and wiring harness (i think your computer will work with a reprogram).
I'm trying to buy this 97 Vortec 350 from a guy in Texas (he is moving to navarre, like 20 minutes from home) in July. He said it has forged rods, crank, and pistons too I believe. He claims it made 300hp at the wheels on his show truck. All that is for $2000 (includes everything but accessories and wiring harness), so you could score a stock one complete for around $1000 i'd imagine, depending on mileage.
Welcome though!!

Well yah Matt, but you still havent taught me yet, you gotta show me how to drive a stick better. I can pretty much drive on decent from my brothers jeep.....but I wouldnt mind some practice in your car. I promise I wont grind egars or dump the clutch :D

What color is your jeep?
Blue, with a black hardtop... and primer grey doors that haven't been painted yet. It's just sitting on the side of the house collecting pollen at the moment
