98 convertable

I first found out about the club from bryon. He lives in my complex. I have a 98 white gt convertable 5-speed. Here is what I have added so far. 80mm C+L mass air, 75mm TB, C+L upper plenum, BBK off road x-pipe, 2 chamber flowmasters, 3:73 gears, msd ignition coils, and am currently in the middle of installing patriot performance stage 2 heads with PI cams. I bought the heads from a junk yard, sent them to patriot, got them back, and when I went to install them and set the timing, the drivers side camshaft was not working properly. Now I am riding a bicycle to school, awaiting the new cam from the junk yard. Hopefully, I will have it done by friday. I cant wait to see how the ported heads and bigger valves along with PI cams works out.
I ran the dyno-jet at 207hp to the wheels, and 290 ft. lbs. of torque without the heads. I should reach 280 at the wheels with the heads. This is what patriot has told me from their dyno runs with this set-up. Well, I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself, and say thanks to mat and the guy with the 98 green gt convertable for helping me set my timing. kudos on the great board.

Welcome to the board. What junkyard are you getting the parts from? I wouldn't hold my breath on that 280...sounds a little high to me but I dont know anything.

Wow, what junkyard are you going to it sounds nice. I thought Patriot just came out with these heads and you already found a pair in a junkyard?

Welcome.

It seems people start with Mustangs and leave with LS1s.

He got the heads in a junkyard and then sent them to Partiot to be worked.
