howdy
name's Evan, born and raised in tallahassee/havana, went to Florida High School, and i'm a Ford guy
i have a '67 Mustang coupe that i'm gathering parts for and working on slowly, also have a '93 F-150 that i use as a daily driver and as a tow pig
i'm in the AF, currently stationed in the hell that is southern Maryland, close to DC
gonna be coming down in summer for my 21st birthday, gonna party with all of my redneck friends and hang out with my family, will also pick up Susie (my mustang) and tow her up here so i can work on her here
i am an inline six cylinder zealot, my mustang, and my truck are both inline six cylinders, the mustang is a 200ci, the truck is a 300ci
the truck will stay mainly stock (exhaust and ignition)
Susie, however, will undergo a complete resto-mod, including (in order):
paint/bodywork, and interior, she'll be painted some sort of Navy Blue with white '68 GT stripes (http://www.autogaleria.pl/tapety/img/ford/ford_mustang_gt_1968_b.jpg) (you have to have a solid foundation before you can start upgrading)
an all new suspension
a swap from an automatic to a T5/T45 (or possibly a Cobra or a Supra 6-speed, have yet to decide)
Aussie head/intake + upgraded cam and internals
carb --> EFI (almost all of which will need to be homemade)
turbo + intercooler
an IRS rear-end
and more that i'm possibly forgetting at the moment
yes, my project is mildly ambitious, but i know it can be done
why will i stay with the inline six cyl? they are simpler to work on, more space in the engine bay, more reliable than a V8, torquey as hell, and will survive anything short of an atomic blast
pics of Susie, and my truck
