Battle of the Traction Impaired!!!

went to T's for the supposed video shoot, which turned out to be a huge bust. homer was out there with the cobra. fucking blower was as big as a basketball. he was cool and took me for a ride, thing has some kick in it even though we only drove a little i could tell it had some nuts. well when we realized to video thing wasnt gonna happen we decided to go out and line up . . .

off the launch we both bogged (damnit i was pissed, im sure he was too, oh well at least both of us did it). i pulled a little through first and second battling the tire spin (just like he was im sure). in my third i pretty much stopped pulling and he walked up until we were about even (blower fucking SCREAMING). on my shift to fourth (which was too damn slow i realize now, time to start shifting faster) he pulled ahead til my front bumper was right around 1.5 feet behind his rear bumper and as soon as i got back in the gas he stopped pulling and we ran probably somewhere into 120 i believe. up to that no one was really pulling, if so it wasnt noticable, and he ended up just over a car ahead. killer race, really got my adreniline going.

we would have gone again but there were so old people that parked on the side of the road after we raced

homer, we definately need to line up again cause that was pretty damn close and a great race. you got a beast of a car man, and the blower sounds fucking mean. anyways, congratulations on the kill, first loss ive had on the street in a LONG LONG time, oh well, at least it was to a bad ass car. whats your take on the run, mine pretty close to what you saw?

The only thing.... That was my first race from a standstill with that blower... I didnt really know how to launch yet..

I was all cocky, thinking I could pull on you better, so I eased it out in first. You got a hell of a holeshot on me! I didnt spin in first, because it bogged so bad, but when I shifted to second, it spun all the way through, until I shifted to third and then I got traction!

You've got a Badass car, too!!! the way it sounds with that cam is wicked! That was the closest anyone's kept up with me so far!!

I wanna run em again too!! It got the gas pumping in my veins!

That was definately a BADASS race, with a SINISTER car!!

I had those... they only lasted 2000 miles, and I barely even burned tires with em!!

Ill never use them for daily driving again!

If I ever get them again, its gonna be on a set of 16" wheels that I can just throw on whenever I go to the track or whatever... but even with those, im paranoid about snapping a half-shaft.

I want to keep the IRS... If nitrous Pete can run a freakin 9.99 :o on his IRS, then I can run as fast as I want... I just have to find the right parts for it! for now, though... its a piece of shit and doesent hook up!

I havent really looked too much into the IRS. I dont like the fact that the whole setup is an afterthought. Though I think the new chassis that is coming out should be tight.

I guess get ahold of some 03 IRS parts when you can? They sure seem to be holding up well :o

im gonna focus most of my efforts on tryin to get that mofo to launch better. polyurethane IRS bushings, 03 IRS brace, coil-overs, and Raxles...

we'll see how well this combo works out. There are a few things that Im hoping for.

1. I get the balls to ask my boss if i can have a few months off and come home for the summer.

2. I get the money to get this jugger finished.
