My buddy is getting a new motor put in the talon (long story short,Cracked block)...anyhow, I was wondering if you have to break in an aftermarket clutch...I broke in my act in my rx-7 for about 350miles and then romped on it. It was fine,no problems. I just wanna be careful, he's getting his car back and we wanna take it to the track, but if its not broken in,pointless. Thanks guys.

Yea, you gotta break in a new clutch. Its about 500 miles as the norm but Im sure with all the traffic in this town, 350 would work out.

generally they say you need about a 500 mile break in period. maybe less, but i would stick to that to be safe. but thats just me.

:idea: Get it installed and then just take a day to drive around town. It'd be boring and may seem like a waste of a day, but you'd get it done and would be ready for the track.

EDIT: On second thought, just be patient. It's really not worth it to put the extra miles on the car.

Damn Grady he cracked the block on shawns old car. That thing has had nothin but problems since u have gotten it. I would go find shawn and talk to him or some shti cause his dad fucked that car up. But goodluck. Hows the EsT goin????
