I would like to get enough people together that we could rent a track for a day. I will get in contact with Gainesville and Valdosta. I made a call to Valdosta and they are going to be outragous. First he told me 1200 but then i asked about timers and what not and he was thinking the price would go way up. :wtfgun: Hell Norwalk Raceway Park in Ohio is only 800 for a day with track personel.
Anyways wanted to get some feed back. If we do this ill try and help organize as much as i can but i may need some help.

Dunno where u got the $800 Norwalk figure, we looked at renting nowalk before. It can only be done durnin the week and very small car counts.
Beech Bend Bowling Green, KY is $1500 plus $420 for workers and ambulance. So thats right at $2k without VHT.
$1200 for Valdosta isn't to bad, I would guess it will be close to $2k with the lights and track workers. But with 25 cars thats only $80 a car. So $80 to play all day and no waiting. Its way worth it!

Im definatly going to look into Valdosta better. Gainesville was also outragous. 1000 for 5 cars plus 200 a car after that.
Any other local tracks.

Albany is like $1k but its only 1/8 mile.
I really like this idea, think of it like this. We have been paying $60 for 2 dyno pulls. Why not spend a little more and have a unlimited test day. At our #ford track rentals we usally get a ton of runs in. I know a certain v6 rental mustang made 32 passes in 1 day. hehe

Last time i went to a Norwalk track day it cost me 35 dollars and i made 37 runs with cool down time. Granted that time it was a little disorganized but i think we can pull it off.

Outrageous? Gainesville is a world-class facility. Do some research on ls1tech, this has been / is being discussed.
Edit: Search on these forums also, we have discussed a track day with another club down in south florida. I can't speak for everyone but with anything north of $40-$50 a person I think you're going to have problems finding people willing to pay.

osw? its $213 a car with a minimum of 5 cars, im sure they could do better if there were more cars.

Badrap used to get together with SFFBA and have a track day about once every 6 months at Bradenton Motorsports Park. Tamparacing has one about every 3 months. I don't think I ever paid more than $35, most of the time less. There was usually between 30-50 cars.

.
yeah i think that they are a little outragous for what we would want.
1000 for the first 5 pluss 200 each additional.
hell for 30 cars it would be $6000.

Shit $80 bux for a full day of no waiting and non stop racing count me in.
Think about it. You're trying to rent a major NHRA facility for a small group of cars from a no-name club. How is it surprising that it isn't cheap?

and then theres the TCH idea.
you would have to get money from everyone up front for it to work. at least 3 weeks in advance i would think to be safe.
That poor V-6
