One of our deputies was killed serving a warrant today. Child porn fucker was laughing it up in the back of the squad car when i arrived. What he was doing in a car and not in a body bag is beyond me. Ill get into the details later, im too worked up about this right now. Heres what the news is saying... take it with a grain of salt. GOD FUCKING DAMN IT.

Thanks everyone. It just fucking sucks to see a guy die right in front of you. Especially when you look over into the squad car and see the dipshit laughing it up. And this guy is a total FAGGOT. His boyfriend got arrested for the same charges a few months ago.

On a side note, the vests we wear are pretty good. Light yet strong enough to stop .45 and 357 mags. Only heavy ass Level III & flack jackets (kevlar with 1/2" think metal plate) can stop rifle rounds.

They have 1/2" ceramic plates in the new interceptor for the army, they weigh about 12lbs before you hang all your shit on it, then it weighs 50. Sorry to hear about the officers, that's why I hate when people give cops shit, they have very hard and dangerous jobs. And there usually not paid enough for the risk they have to deal with.

he may not have had the plates in at the time, and then again everthing they say in the news isnt exactly true may have entered just left or right of the vest and bounced around inside of him. i dont know what type he was wearing at the time but i do know personaly the ones we used in baghdad were top of the line. but then of course they dont stop everything.

Sorry to hear of the loss i know how you feel as i have seen it first hand as well just take your time. You and the rest of broward county have a long healing road ahead. My prayers go out to his family.

I visited the crime scene for the first time today since it happened. Anybody going through those doors had NO chance of surviving. Kind of a creepy feeling seeing a huge puddle of blood where a fellow deputy lay to rest and the burn/powder mark on a door frame of where the rifle was supported against that shot the fatal shot.
