Street Racing Event at South GA Dragstrip

South GA Motorsports Park is looking to do a "Street Race" in October. They are wanting to know how many people are interested in running if there is one. I'm not sure on the rules as of yet. But it will be no trailer cars, if a car is trailered up. It will be required to drive around the track a few times to prove its streetable and have tags/insurance etc. Will be heads up off a pro-tree.

She said the dates they are lookin at are Oct 2nd or the last 2 weekends of Oct. I told her that later in Oct would be better so the word can be spread about it. And the possiblitly of cooler air. They just need an idea of how many people will attend if they have one. She is taking the numbers to SGMP on Wed.

Thinks i would be in on that... we need to do an event like hod rod's pump gas nationals. make em drive 30+ miles in traffic then get 3 runs each to lay down the times.


According to my source. The time and liability make the cruise not doable. If the event is large enough to merrit having another there will be consideration for this type of cruise.

There will be a entry fee, it will be a contest. There will be a purse for the winner. That would be the difference.

Ryan, Ive got some ET Streets that you can use if you cant use the Drags. I think Im gonna see what I can do on the Nitto's which if I keep that up, I might need another pair ;)
