I'll bet Mr. Supra guy has started saving for a single turbo setup after getting smacked around like that. Nice vid ... 03+ Cobras are the shit.

I used to live right where they filmed that at. I actually got my first speeding ticket on that access road that they are on at the end in that same spot...memories.

I showed that video to my borther and I didn't see it at first, but that is someone that we know. He used to have a lightning, but he rolled it and got that car.

My friend has an L and he knows the cobra driver. The guy doing the video went to my school, he had an N/A Supra and used to rattle off all the specs of a TT supra even though he never had one.

Before the summer was over do yall remember the that supra turbo, was silver with other body colors, that rolled up to scholtzkeys(sp?)? Well that is the same supra in the video back when he was only dynoing about 350ish. Now he has 550hp to the wheels, so keep the look out because hes going to school up here as well. He is bringing the supra up here in just a couple of months.

The 1st 2 runs WERE quite a match. I would hardly say that the Supra guy was getting "beat down" since he was at the Cobra's door the entire time. However, the last two runs are a different story.

Quite the contrary... we have a joke over on 3Si that I'm sure you've seen in other places:
"What's the difference between a 500, 750, and 1000hp Supra? Nothing, they all run 12s".

Hey 94 302, where did you go to hs at?
I went to Gulliver in miami. The guy video taping has a Red Supra that was N/A apparently he started to run some spray and just recently got a single turbo. The supra that was racing I have seen it in person and I know the kid didnt paint it the color it was, he just bought it with that paint job but it was ugly as hell. It was a silvery glittery paint job. I have another video of the same supra racing another 03 when i get back to my apartment I will look for it.

One thing that I will say impresses me about the 03+ Cobra is it's top end. I was under the impression that blown V8's were more torquey and dominated through the low and mid-range. Every vid I've seen with the new Cobra has them walking away up top.

Hey guys... Funny that video is still floating around of my car. When I ran the Supra was when the car barely had anything done to it. All I had done was Intake/Exhaust. The reason the first 2 runs were sort of close was because I was trying different shift points, as I never run top end like that. Im a 1/4 mile believer. I was revving the car to 6800 on those first two runs. The last runs, I walked the Supra nicely shifting at around 6200. Since then, I added pulleys, intercooler, and some other little stuff, along with a full NX EFI Kit w/ all the goodies including a 1st gear lockout. With intake/exhaust the car went 12.4 @ 114 roasting the tires all the way down the track, but on meaty Nitto's im sure the car woulda went 11.9x @ 120+MPH, and on the bottle somewhere in the low 11's/high 10's at high 120's. Sad part is, due to insurance raising, im selling the car... so if you know anyone who is interested in a 2003 Cobra with 13,000 miles, let me know.
shock6791 - Hey man. Whats your brother been up to lately? Last I talked to him he was dealing with that HS bullshit. Too bad I totalled the truck though, it woulda run easy 10's on the bottle... but I think im gonna be getting a 2003 6.0 PS Diesel 250 or 350, and ill be sure itll be running low 12's.
