adrains probably heard more about than me, but last i heard it was a stock bottom end LQ9 6.0L, some sort of Heads/Cam, T-76 Turbo, Nx wet kit(he usually sprays 75 shot), ARP Rod Bolts, LS1edit. i think he swapped that motor about a week after buying the truck new. i saw him post on ls1tech i think he's getting sponsored by Cmotorsports for and Forged Iron Block 409 so he can turn up the boost and spray it with no worries...i think it was a $13k pricetag that i saw but i could be wrong. its an 03" 4WD, so that 630/680 is going though a transfer case and a HP robbing HD tranny(4L80e). i think he was getting 1.5 60's on the FACTORY rims/tires.

i'm pretty sure this truck ws featured in october's issue to hot rod mag. swapped in a 6.0L,4L80E and transfer case pulled out of a HD. 234/232 115LDA cam and patriot performance valve springs, 57 lbs injectors, racetronix in tank fuel pump and the rest is stock. T76 Q-trim turbo, air to water intercooler, yank 2800 stall and 3.73's. AND 2 stage NX kit, capable of a 300 shot. those dyno pulls show that the truck has improved since the article was written-either that or he just doesn't want the world to know just how bad ass his ride is.
i want a truck like that so i could be the street racing king

posted on sunday....:
was hoping if the motor let go it would go out in a glory run with 20psi but it didn't. it died in a pitiful sad way. i was at the track for only a few minutes, just got in the staging lanes and decided to purge my nitrous. i did my usualy purge thru the motor and all was fine but when i let off something wasn't right. it was running odd and died. i thought about it for a few seconds and decided i needed to get out of line and pull over under a light and look things over. i hit the key and it let out a boom. not a big boom, just a nice fart/boom sound. i got some help pushing the truck out of line at that point and then looked under the hood. the nitrous was running . fucking noid stuck open . how often does that happen? the jet was completly frosted over so it had put a lot on nitrous into the motor. it was dumping it in for those few seconds when it wasn't running too. thats what caused it to make that boom sound.
i crossed my fingers. shut off the bottle, unpluged coil packs. turned it over for awhile, let is sit a little, then tried starting it and bang bang bang. something serious wrong in there. kind of a sad way to take out a motor that has put up with soo much .
i was trying the reverse staged nitrous set up. 50shot from 2500-3000 and another 50shot from 2500 to 4000rpm. i was prety excited to try it but never got that far. i am going to send in all 4 noids and have them rebuilt and get a filter. my fill stating has a filter but i dont have one on the kit in the truck. not sure what else to try and have no idea why the noid would stick open.
i took out the other 6.0 with nitrous too. a fuel noid that stuck closed. it was real cold out that day and i had been running xylene thru it so i am going to take the blame for that one but i didn't do anything to cause the problem this time.
as far as damage i am going to say at least a couple of ring lands and at least one rod. it drove it into the garge once i got home and it sound worse than a rod bearing. a lot worse. i will have some pic's of whatever it is in a few days.
the truck wont be down for long. might end up running the original 4.8 for a while.
