View Full Version : Stay N/A?

I'm putting a list together for future mods...I can't decide to stay N/A or go for the juice. After this weekend I can already taste the nitrous but I'm nervous of blowing my rear or motor doing so. If I did go juice it would be the JMS kit...Tony do you know more about this kit? 150 shot makes me question it. Thanks.

Mike

if your gonna do nitrous, do it right and build a nitrous motor that can take the hit

otherwise stay n/a, maybe add some displacement

I agree. Everything has to be spot on for nitrous to be safe on a non-nitrous motor. No margin for error.

Whatca want to know about the JMS kit? Its a very safe setup even at 150 shot. Or else Chris wouldn't sell it.

I wouldn't worry about your rearend in the car. You already have 31 spline axles. You are ahead of about 80% of the street stangs out there running fast.

Ya know that red lx from hooters that was running in Drag Radial class this weekend? Guess what, he is using a STOCK rearend! :)

I like the idea of juice... just make sure you have all the safety gadgets (WINDOW SWITCH) and a motor that can take the shot you want to run...

if you like the 2V crowd, ditch the 4.6 and throw a 6.8L V10 in that jugger!

they bolt right in.

a 2v 5.4 is just a wider deck 4.6 (like the relationship between 302's and 351's)

And a 6.8L V10 is just a 5.4 with two extra cylinders. (just like the relationship between the chevy 350 and the 4.3L V6)

they make plenty of power and tire-frying torque stock. you can pick one up off ebay for about a grand or two with all the wiring.

Hook that mofo up with some spray!! Now were talkin. And they dont really weigh that much more than an IRON BLOCK 4.6, like what youve already got.

could you imagine the wow factor that you'd get by telling someone... "yep, its a V10"

im dreaming too much tonight.

I doubt its set up for a 6 cyl. Itll work on any 96-01 cobra, and any 96-03GT with a different bracket and throttle-body tube.

I paid 3600 for the kit.

Ill sell it down to the last nut and bolt for $3300. Its only got about 3 or 4 thousand miles on it. That includes the brand new jet-hot coated morpheus powerpipe thats coming in the mail on friday.. (a $150 value)

And, it includes the morpheus bracket-brace that fits 96-up cobras. ($80)

It does not include the 42# Injectors and Lightning 90MM mass air meter. Those didnt come in the kit, and im keeping them with my car.

so, there you have it.
