I need to grind down the lip of the caps on my new struts to be able to slide the sleeve for the coilovers on. The Dremel isn't cutting it, I need more power. Anyone have a good grinder that will cut these things down real nice n quick? Maybe take it somewhere and have it done? The metal there ain't thin.

Bo was at the house and looked at the struts and mentioned that he simply popped the metaldust caps off the top of his struts. I don't know whats under there though, I could hit the jackpot or be out a strut. Any ideas from the rest of you guys?

Are you putting coilovers on the stock struts?

I looked at my old stockers and there was nothing special underneath the cap. It was just a flat surface. Im not sure if its the same for the Stang but like I said, mine just popped off and back on. I will see if I can remember to bring one down if you cant get this figured out so I can show you because I cant really explain it all to well.

Yeah, I talked to a guy on the corral. Apparently the crimps on the side weren't as crimped as they appeared to be. A few whacks here and there with a hammer and screwdriver got them off. Now all I need is my k-memeber and we can install that and the coilovers all at once. I can do two mods, yaaaaaaaaaaaay.

Should be here next week I think. Guy put the order in Friday, then QA1 ships everything to him and he ships out when he gets them to everyone in the GP.

I like strippers too. My girlfriend swears that she can find us numbers for some good ones from the guys at her work, but I have yet to take her up on that!
