For those of you at sonic, how did my car sound? I need an objective opinion because I am still 50/50 on if I like the Magnaflows or not. I don't get a chance to hear my car from the outside.

Yep, the regular magnaflows and not the magnapacks. I also have the catted x. It is fairly loud under load, but quiet under cruise. They seem to be a little louder with the mach than they were on the gt. It sounds good from inside the car, but I wanted to know how it sounded on the outside and if everyone liked it. I have always used flowmasters on my bigger engines, but wanted to be different on the 4.6l in the gt. With the mach, my mind started thinking about them again, because it seems to run heavier than the gt did.

I have a half ass sound clip if anyone wants to hear it from inside the car. I can't post anything on here, but I can email it.

I think they sounded good. They werent quite loud enough for my taste but they sounded good. Get rid of those cats and it should be alot louder. :lol:

Exactly. I was still running stock headers and catback on my old car. My offroad H made all the difference. :D

To stay on topic though, are you just runningthe magnaflow mufflers on the MACH 1 or did you buy a catted x-pipe with the muffs?


magnaflow catted x also. All this shit is salvaged off the 02-everything seems to bolt up. I have not tried the timing adjuster yet, going to wait until she loosens up a bit first.

I agree, all mustangs sound very similar. You can always tell when one is coming down the road. It is one of the sweetest sounds my ears have ever graced. F-bodies sound great when the factory system is chucked, but stock.......shitty.

I agree!!!! 4 valves rock. I used to be an old school pushrod dude too., but 4 vavles rock, even if they lack the ls1 grunt.
