I know its been expressed before... but UPS is HORRIBLE!!! And so is Summit for making me use them for next day shipping. See, when you order from Jeg's and they use FedEx, it arrives on the day scheduled often times at or before 9AM. Jeg's is nice, and fast, but their site isn't as friendly as Summit, and Summit has better prices for the most part. So I ordered my converter from Summit. $40 extra for next day shipping. This was on a Saturday, so I knew it wouldn't ship until Monday, but Next day is supposed to arrive at 11am the next day. Even the cheap Next Day Saver is supposed to arrive before 3pm. When does MY torque converter arrive? 10 after 5?!? I am highly irritated. And what does UPS have to say about this? There was a weather delay in Mobile. I don't know about Mobile, but it was sunny and 70+ degrees is Ft. Walton. I sure hope UPS's planes don' have trouble flying in that kind of weather.
Well, due to this little "weather" delay the truck might NOT be back here this weekend. This also means that it won't be ready for the racetrack. I'm ordering from Jegs from now on... I don't care if it is more expensive.
EDIT: Ok, Jegs says before the end of the business day, but its always been real early for me. (ok I've only ordered an intake and an adjustable fuel presure regulator from there... but still, they got here on time or earlier)

the only way it could have been a weather delay in mobile would be if it was due to fog. they reported fog from 8 last night till about 9-10 this morning. visibility from 2 am to 9 am was less than a mile for the most part. let me know exactly what time the package went through there and i'll let you know exactly what it was.

Dont you kno that weather delay REALLY means that they were deciding on WHETHER or NOT to put the package in the plane on time! their service can suck and you wont get no sympathy for late next day air. it is always a whether delay.

FEDEX>>>>UPS
I try to only use fedex for shipping they are cheaper and wayyyy better. I was waiting for a part to arrive for a motorcycle I am rebuilding and UPS didn't get it here until 9:15pm. How the fuck a shipping company can load the truck for delivery at 6:55am and not get the package here till 14 hours later is beyond me.

 we got our next day stuff from fed ex at 5:45 today--that's 15 minutes after closing time. we have to refund all the next day charges to customers but get charged the fee from fed ex. weather does play a huge factor but i've received better service with ups always.

Im with you, everytime i order something from summit and it gets shipped UPS i get it right on time, Fedex has been late almost everytime, not just a few hours, but a whole day.

Summit is the shit when it comes to shipping. At least it always was for me when I lived down there. Its an 8 dollar handling fee and you get 3 day ground shipping for free. It rarely took all 3 days either. Thats just my outlook on the whole Summit/UPS deal.

i personally have had bad experiences with ups. i had my new suspension shipped via ups. it came in 2 boxes with identical shipping lables. one box said 1 of 2, the other 2 of 2. i got one box one day, but the second wasn't with it. heres what this thing said when i checked the tracking number later that night.

they didn't have any problem finding the address on the first package. they just come up with bs to cover themselves.

If you get a story about where your package is from the hub here in Tallahasse, its bullshit, they're lying. I ordered from Summit the other day and it came FedEx. I guess they don't use UPS for ground anymore.

Brian, yeah it was in Mobile at 8:25AM... so i guess that was a good call. Somehow it said it arrived in Ft. Walton at 8:47AM however, and then took a further 8 hours to get to my house... hmmm.
Now i never had a problem with summit when I ordered something regular 3 day, but I did have my fuel rails and injectors arrive a 9PM :wtf:. I wasn't in a hurry for those however, so it didn't bother me. But when i ordered from Jegs, my Stealth Ram came to my door before I even woke up. It was like Christmas morning .

Ive had shitty service with UPS , FED-EX. But I use fed-ex more now than ever, when UPS went on strike 3-5yrs ago, they screwed up alot of businesses. Plus UPS is expensive.Ive always had good luck with Fed_EX
