Ok, so I dont really talk like that, I kid, I only did! Well, by bf (boostedsvt) and some other friends told about this site and I thought I would check it out. I look froward to meeting you guys, I live in Crestview and and Tally is not that far away, its far but not too far. Oh well, I have a 95 Eclipse GST, just put in a 6bolt (1g) motor and its all built up. There are a few thing here and there that need to be ironed out but I hope to have her running again soon, I miss her guts! If any of you guys are ever in there area hit me up, me and my friends are always up for a good cruise.....and maybe a little "fun" ;)

Its the same motor Louy had in his car, turbo 4. 6 bolt has something to do with the crank, but not main caps. But that is as far as I get into those things.

No, its a turbo cyl... theres a 1g Eclipse which is like 1990-1994 which has a "6bolt" motor, named for the 6 bolts that hold the flywheel in. The 2g Eclipses 1995-1999 came with a "7bolt" motor, 7 bolts holding in flywheel. The 7 bolts are crap and are prone to crankwalk, which does just what the name says, the cranks moves more than it should tearing everything up. Its a common swap and better motor (6bolts)....I could blab all day about Eclipses so Im gonna stop at that.

hey, 90-mid92 are the 6 bolts, half way though 92 they went to a 7 bolt bottom end(same head and intake as 90-92)
6 bolt and 7 bolt= now many bolts hold the flywheel on(more to it than that, but you guys get the idea)
