What heads do you have tucked up under that big ole intake?

And Julian, I said the intake. I just didnt want to give it away. I know its a LT4 intake which wasnt made in 93 hense the crossover tube in the front of the intake(as found on 94+ models) instead of having both in the back like your old "poser". ;)

Built motor? Never said I had a built motor, just bored .030 over with stock piston. Stock heads, small cam, (so small, it required no tuning to the stock ecu) a 2800 stall (3200 been out since November), and bolt on. Is there rule to being fast, and jons pretty slow for most "ls1" i've seen.

I have a cam-only M6 LS1 on radials. 12.1 is normal to quick for my mods, and my mph is on the high side for a cam-only car. It's important to note that I don't consider my car fast, and I don't talk a lot of shit.

You, on the other hand, are a different story. You run your mouth constantly. You put moronic pictures in your sig. You talk like you're the fastest thing in town, but you run high 11's at a low MPH on slicks and spray. I'm not impressed. Will your new mods make it "fast"? I don't know, thus my original question.

I talk like I'm the fastest thing in town? Since when? Don't you have the ls6 intake, but anyway there no exclusive sale of performance parts too me. My 12 year old car runs good for what in it, and last I checked ity run faster than you. Comparing an ls1, 4.6, 5.0 to each other is like comparing apple, to oranges, to grape. Your "god" motor is not the fastest on earth either. And by the way I not trying to impress you or anybody else.

Its not skill, its tecnique. The hardest thing to do in any sport is hit a round moving ball with a round bat in baseball. Golf is a difficult sport, but the ball is just sitting there and everyone is quiet and you hit it at your own will.

Like Jon said, baseball rules!!

fatkid
02-14-2005, 06:06 PM
It is also skill. You have to use just as much hand eye cordination as baseball if not more. Dont get me wrong i love baseball played it for 8 years. But in golf it is more skill then technique. Even though the ball isnt moving u must keep ur head still and turn ur hips and yada yada yada. A lot will say the closest thing to a golf swing is a baseball swing. But there are many different variables to each swing. Its a lot and i mean a lot easier to hit a baseball then it is a golf ball. Baseball u sqaure around quick enough keep ur eye on the ball and more than likely u will hit it. Golf u must sqaure around, keep the club on plane, turn ur hips, keep ur head still, keep back angle str8 and transfer ur weight perfectly in order to hit the ball well. But all in all who cares

How can you say hitting a moving object is easier than hitting a stationary object??? For instance, my sister can hit a golf ball, she cannot, however, hit a 50mph fast ball. Also, every variable you listed for a golf swing is technique, not skill. There is absolutely no way that golf is anywhere near as difficult as baseball. Golf is a difficult task, baseball is a sport.

they are both sports in there own way. I'm better at baseball though, i get too pissed at golf like happy gilmore.

The only thing that gets me about baseball is that you can get a basehit 33% of the time and that's considered excellent. I know it's got to be hard as shit to hit a 100 mph fastball, but these are the pros. Bowlers get over 90% strikes, golfers hit it on the fairway over 90% of the time, goalies stop over 90% of the shots, so why is baseball so low

You have never been so wrong in your life. Alright Ill give u a week u go hit range balls and go hit baseballs in the cage. After that week u come back and tell me which one u hit better. It takes months if not years and thousands of hit range balls to be able to hit a golf ball straight. I have played both and have done very well in both. So u mean to tell me that every single one of those techniques doesnt require any skill at all. Wrong again. Baseball is all about technique also. Release points in throwing, timing on the swing. Anyone can learn how to throw a ball or learn how to hit a moving baseball. Why do u think they start off with T-Ball. There is more technique skill and discipline in golf its plain and simple.

Take ur sister to the batting cages start her at the 35 MPH cage then slowly move her up threw the week. Im willing to bet u money she would be able to time it right and hit that 50 MPH ball by the end of the week. Then take her to a golf course and give her a week to work on golf. Wont be the same outcome i gaurantee it.

Im not just arguing this just to argue im arguing this because i know which is harder from personal experience. I play golf just about everyday. And between ages 4-12 i played baseball just about everyday. Have played on city teams and school teams in both SPORTS. Theres just more to golf then there is in baseball in a technical term.

It takes months if not years and thousands of hit range balls to be able to hit a golf ball straight. I have played both and have done very well in both.
For starters, I played baseball for 13 years and played golf for a few. I am plenty capable of hitting both, so using me wouldn't be a fair comparison since I have experience with both. Of course I will hit a baseball better, I have 10 more years of swinging a bat under my belt. A better way to do it would be to use a person who has never played either one. But this whole thing is hypothetical and ridiculous anyway.

So u mean to tell me that every single one of those techniques doesnt require any skill at all. Wrong again.
I never said golf didn't involve any level of skill. All I said was that everything you listed was a technique, not a skill. How is keeping your head down a skill? Can one person keep their head down better than another of equal ability and training? Golf does involve skill, but, IMO, not as much as baseball.

Take ur sister to the batting cages start her at the 35 MPH cage then slowly move her up threw the week. This doesn't make sense. So you're saying that after a week my sister will be unable to hit a golf ball travelling at 50mph?

Im not just arguing this just to argue im arguing this because i know which is harder from personal experience. I play golf just about everyday. And between ages 4-12 i played baseball just about everyday. Have played on city teams and school teams in both SPORTS. Theres just more to golf then there is in baseball in a technical term.
I don't think you are the only person who has played both baseball and golf. I have and I bet there are at least 10 other people on this board that have too. I agree that there is more to golf than technique. The ability to read greens, account for changes in wind, and draw a ball are certainly impressive. Alright, I've had enough of this. How about a cage fight to the death to determine who's right? I'll bring my bat and you bring a golf club.

Pretty Pricey bats those are. I heard they cracked when it was cold outside?? Like lil hairline cracks and not even when it was like real cold but around 50-60 or so. U ever had any trouble with that.

I don't think they make them anymore, but they are my favorite aluminum bat of all time. I had always heard that it had to be below like 40* for one of them to crack. I never hit with it when it was that cold. I just used wood. A couple friends of mine crack a couple though. I did split one in half one time though, but I think that one was on it's way out though.

In the last few years I've cracked a Miken along with one of my old DeMarini doublewalls. Anything colder than 40-50 and you're taking chances... they say that the newer bats are more resistant to cracking, but it still happens.
