i got a dog, WOOHOOO

for those who dont know, mark hooked me up with this vet friend of his and he hooked me up with a guy who had some staffordshire puppies (like pits only a little bigger)

went over there today and saw them. father weighs 70-80 pounds of solid muscle, one of the baddest looking dogs ive ever seen. mother weighs abuot 60-70 pounds of muscle as well, very impressive dogs

there were 9 puppies, two sold already and i had next pick. i got a female one, kinda bluish light brown with a white chest, white feet, and a white stripe on her head. her name is Kya.

ill be bringing her out after a couple weeks cause she is still a little young (only 6 weeks)

im sooooooooooooo happy

Very cool. If you aren't going to spay her, then I could offer my pit for stud. Ought to make some healthy puppies! He will be two years old in Oct. and weighs almost 90lbs.

the are supposed to be very similar acting to pits. very loving of people and children, even strangers, however the males are supposed to be aggressive towards other dogs, the females somewhat but not nearly as bad as the males. the females are supposed to be very protective of her owners and her home.

at least this is what ive been told.

You are correct. One suggestion for you that I did with mine was to feed him a large breed puppy food. It allows their bones to reach full growth potential which will reduce joint problems later in life. The males are very agressive with other male dogs. I made sure to get mine around other male varieties when he was a puppy so that he did not naturally have that aggression.
