Take that oxidation right out of your paint. What's the point of not taking care of a brand new paint job? And what's the point of doing it completely by hand if this does it better, faster, and with less work for me?

And Mr. Bond, keep your homosexual fantasies to yourself...

BTW, I think the word you are looking for is "obsessive" or something along those lines.

Lol. Come on over Sat morning. Jeff and maybe Tyler are coming over. Gonna detail everything on mine, including wheel wells and some of the undercarriage. Then next month I'm detailing the engine bay. Got to get it ready for some shows starting this spring.

Well its slow enough that people will have plenty of time to see it. Might as well keep it pretty.

Not necessarily faster. I have one and it helps a lot, but if you are trying to get out some heavy swirling or something, it is going to take a while. You should of bought the 7336 from Lowe's for like $50 less than the 7424. The only difference is the counterweight and that doesn't matter. Still a worth while purchase though. Also, make sure the first thing you do is throw out the pad that comes with it, it is total shit. Buy some Lake County Pads or something.

Exactly. Going fast is not an inexpensive option on the 96-98s. I can't afford to break, and it's my only vehicle, so I'm turning it into a show/driver. Decided to go with a project car in the next year that I can work on and not worry about.

nope but i did one better, or i should say my mom did one better:
she was outside washing her van and got the idea to get rid of my "yellow accents" for me. so she went and got a black sharpie and colored over the yellow bumpers spots and i have to say it looks a hell of a lot better now. you'll see at soinc.

So what do you consider stock? I've got exhaust, 4.30 gears, brand new suspension, custom paint thats about to get even more customized. The only thing I haven't touched is the interior and the motor. Other than getting a dyno tune and some new rims, there's not much else I want to do to it performance wise. I enjoy driving my car, not fixing it. Other than the rear exploding 9 months after Paul put in the gears, I've never had something go bad on it. And it's still quicker than the majority of cars on the road.

EDIT: Can't spell this morning...need coffee

i thought you werent trying to go fast but rather have a show car? looks like with exhaust, 4.30 gears, and an entirely new suspension you made an attempt. so why will you dynotune if you arent trying to make it fast?(rhetorical question) and new black paint is hardly "custom paint"

i just dont know why some people try to enter a show with a car that isn't exactly rare, stock, and can still be found on car lots everywhere. i must see 2-3 a day and i drive like 6 miles a day. so unless its a classic car or a really old restoration or something thats custom(see: black paint is not custom) i just dont see why people enter shows with stock cars that are a few years old. in the begining i was joking around, but you asked for an explanation

btw. what did it run at the track?

Anyway, when i bought it I didn't realize how expensive mod-motors were to keep fast. Making them fast is easy with a blower, but keeping them fast is expensive having to rebuild the crappy bottom end. I added some things to make it more fun and enjoyable to drive. The 4.30s cause it was a dog with the stock gears. The suspension b/c I got tired of the 4x4 look and the body roll around corners. A dyno tune cause I'm running rich right now. The paint to me is custom b/c it's not a color that has ever come on a Cobra. It's nighthawk black pearl from Acura. I enjoy showing it not because it will win any competitions or anything, but becasue I take pride in it and the work I have personally done to it. And the fact that it's slow:)
