i got a guy in a gt wanting to race me, one of those friend of a friend things.

anyways, from what i understand the guy hasn't done alot or at least not noticably to the car (maybe a chip and free mod or something) and exaust....BUT he said he smoked a ss, which i think is bs.

i kinda want to put him in his place.

what do you guys think?

I would think Hed need more than a chip and "free mods" whatever those are. Tony? Greg? your thoughts?

He'll definitely need more mods, stickey tires and a good launch.

if it's simple mods he's done--he'd need atleast gears and exhaust and be one hell of a driver. the only stang i've lost to in a street race was with a black convertible--and i think it was driver error on my part--but winning's winning. you should get him good-if not he's got more than he's telling you--maybe spray like someone else said.

apparently the new GT can get a free mod by freeing up the air intake and a few other things. saw an article in mustang enthusiast bout it.

I've beat many a ls1 on the street with my 02. Even when it was stock. On the street the holeshot is a big big part of it. 80% of the time I would get the win due to the ls1 spinning and me takin off. The Ls1 would always start to run me down, but couldn't do it in the 1/4 if I could holeshot him good enough.
