he won, but not by much...
i had someone in the car, as did he. but he brake-boosted off the line, and i still launched him. he wasn't coming past me until 3rd gear. we raced down the heart of tennessee street by Floyd's & Bullwinkles. it was tight, but his truck wasn't all that impressive, it was a brand new one.
that is all.

Maybe Sert should go out looking for a lightning. Sounds like it may be a good race.

nice...but i would assume thats not playing it safe with almost 11#'s on that bottom end...unless its built to handle it.

that was the stock pulley :) I have seen plenty of people push those much MUCH harder than 10#'s on the stock bottom end. The trucks do have forged pistons and a tough block, but the rods really aren't that strong. The most important part is making sure the tune is correct and avoiding detonation. You could run 13-15#'s on the stock bottom end with a good tune

didnt know bout the forged pistons and "built" block. learn something new everyday. pretty smart of them...gues they knew people were gonna try and squeeze every little bit out of those blowers

yeah, if they really wanted to do it right, they would put nice forged rods in them instead of those shit "cracked metal" rods...

If the lightning did a brake boost off the line, then he more than likely smoked the tires a little. Might have contributed to the slow start. I have driven two different 02's and they are pretty tuff!
