No stars on here so I figured I'd give it 5 thumbs-up. This product is awesome.
I got it for Christmas and today was the first time using it. Of course I was skeptical, even after reading the reviews in Motor Trend, Car and Driver, etc. I even pulled the car in the garage immediately after washing it to let it dry out of the wind so it would take longer, just trying to get it to have waterspots.
I checked on it about two hours ago and there was still a lot of water on the car. Checked again about 30 minutes and it's nearly completely dry without a single waterspot in sight. The way it's going I don't think there will be any once it's fully dry. If you half-ass wash your car this product Will make that even more obvious.
I'll never wash with a bucket again. Mr Clean AutoDry (http://tinyurl.com/59lz6)

I gave this thing a try this summer and it sucked ass. I had to wash my truck three times to get rid of all the water spots. I think it depends on what kind of water comes out of your tap.

Water spots or not, I like it just because it eliminates the bucket.

That's what the Pur filter is for - you did turn the knob to the third position to use the filter cartridge for the final rinse didn't you ? If you did it shouldn't matter what kind of tap water you have. If you didn't then probably spots galore.

I used it for a little while. It got rid of most of the waterspots, but I still had a few on the car. Also, the soap just didn't seem very good for cleaning. I could still see some small specks on the paint.

I followed the directions precisely. I was in west texas, and they have probably the worst tap water in the world. It failed miserably out there.

I love this thing... works very well. Of course, I come from using Zaino so anything is better than a "car polish". I have a water softener though, so that could change the results. I've heard folks with well water have a tough time with it... too many minerals or somethin. Works great for me though, I love how easy it is to wash the car and still get finished in under a couple of hours with no buckets involved or crappy hose handles. Better than spending $25 for a detail, imo... they even have a "pro series" (http://www.homemadesimple.com/mrcleanautodry/proseries.shtml) now with a soft-grip handle, 5x more powerful spray, and a carrying case.

The only gripe I have with the whole system is that the hose doesn't free spin and I'd have to fight with the sprayer to get it to twist to the correct position.
