If the waves hold up for this weekend from that tropical depression that was in the Gulf, I'm going surfing in PCB. Anyone down for a beach day this weekend? Keep in mind I hate the beach, I'm only going if there's waves or lots and lots of pretty single women going too.
So basically you're going if there are waves

I'd like to go, depending on the day. Me and Jess have been trying to plan something for the 3 days off we have this weekend.

If I'm going for the waves, best bet would be Friday. If everyone wanted to go and preferred Saturday, that works. Whatever. If some miracle happens and the wves hold up both days, I'll go both days.

I won't know until I wake up Friday and see if there's still waves. Let's shoot for Friday, get enough people signed onto this and we'll make it a club thing. And if the waves are good enough you can all watch me get thumped and drilled head first into the sand. That right there should be enough incentive to get people wanting to go.

The best luck I've had with waves in PCB is that park all the way to the east. Like when ya get over the bridge, just go east until the road pretty much dead ends into the park, then go out to where that big jetty is by the inlet. Anyone know where I'm talkin about, I've only been surfing over there a couple times and had a person telling me where to turn.

I think the sun hates you too. You got a good burn, you should be ok for the rest of the summer if you use sunscreen. Thats the way I always did it, go out once in the beginning of summer without a rashguard, get a good burn, then i didn't burn the rest of the summer.

A rashguard is a lycra shirt you wear while you're surfing to prevent the wax on your board from rashing up your chest, hence the name, rashguard.

I have one board in town and another one the way. I think I have an extra pair of flippers too. If there's waves and anyone wants to try it out, they're more than welcome to. Bodyboarding is easier to start learning than stand up surfing, but the tricks get more complex to learn. Lots of weight distribution and change of rotation in the air and stuff... This is what I do.

Bodyboarders look much less like a seal than a surfer does. Sharks are no bueno. Saw an 8 ft tiger shark in the lineup while I was in Hawaii. Never seen so many people on one wave.

Yo Greg, hope you didn't waste your time going to PCB, the beach was red flagged.

The beach is always red flagged if the waves are good, PCB was shit when i checked the reports, so no, I didn't waste my time. If they tried to enforce a red flag during good waves, they'd have to swim out and drag me back in, the flags are for tourists.
