Yea, those have been out for a while but no one knows what it'll really look like if/when it comes back out.

PS, its Camaro...theres no "E" no matter what Racer says.

Those are not actual concepts. The guy that created those only submitted them to GM after he submitted them to High Tech GM and a couple of other muscle car mags. Those renderings are not affiliated with GM and were only done to showcase the originator's design skills.

I think that the F-body is bound to return sometime within the next few years and GM would be wise to utilize bits of those design elements, as they went over VERY favorably with the public.

i'd really like to see wut the production model looks like. also rumors of the 5.3L going into it which isn't terrible, but it will hopefully have the LS2 or even LS7 as an option. i'll just be paying off my car when its supposed to hit so maybe i'll have to camAro's by then.

Ive heard rumors that the next Camaro that comes out is gonna be front wheel drive?... Is that bullshit or true?... I hope not cause then its not gonna be any fun to drive and it will have some nasty torque steer....

I highly doubt it. However if it did happen, I would boycott GM for the rest of my life. It's bad enough they had to do that to the Malibu, Impala, and the Monte Carlo.

Correct. There was also a "rumor" that the 93 Camaro would be FWD too, and we see how well that panned out. We got a Beretta AND a Camaro, so I HIGHLY doubt that it will be FWD. Especially since in a press release a while back they specified it will be a rear drive sports car (I know its technically not a sports car, but still). I wouldnt be surprised at all if it has an IRS though. Probably be similar to a GTO, maybe only sleeker and lighter (I would hope).

That concept looks good, but wasn't it done by some random guy who was good with photoshop? Even if it wasn't look at the charger, it looks a lot like its concept :wtf:

I'm interested in what the new platform for the new GTO will be like for '07. I figure it'll be a lot lighter and maybe they'll put a new Camaro on top of it. The only downside to that would be not having a Firebird.

Also in the infamous "press release" that I often quote (and can't find for the life of me) it mentions that there are no plans to bring back the firebird... ever.

That really sucks. I guess there's just not enough mullets with cut off jeans around anymore to support the Firebird :q:

Seriously though, I don't see how they could make the Camaro and not make the Firebird, unless they were using the new GTO platform for the Camaro. It would suck not having the fbodys together but at least we'd have one of them back.
