or a place to find decent info on 'em

'93 F-150

requirements:
soft cover
cannot damage truck bed (meaning, no body snaps that need to be drilled in, and preferably no adhesives)

i've seen and used the kind that act like tupperware, they have a flexible plastic lip that slides under a channel to lock the cover on
i like how this one works, so i've been considering one of them

been wondering if anyone has any experience with the sliding/rolling covers, where the cover is actually in a channel that holds it in place on the sides, i think this one does that

or like this one

cause i been thinking of getting one like this (http://www.extang.com/docs/tufftonno.html), with the slide-lock type latch, and was just looking for some other options

I had this one on my 99 http://www.realtruck.com/products/rollbak.php

It was very sturdy, had clamp/snap on style. No holes in bed. C-clamps held the frame in place. Had Hydraulic hindges. It got put to the test a few times...
Bachelor party for a friend got kinda wild...some parts took place on the cover...it kinda bent the Supports, but the bent right back into place. Well worth the show though :wicked:

i have an Extang soft tonneau on mine...took about 10 minutes to put on

no drilling, went on fast, and is adjustable for the bows...2 heights (1 is looks, 1 is performance supposedly), and holds tight using clamps

its a button down though

got any pics?
what were the hydraulic hinges for? i don't really get why it would need 'em if it rolls away
what's the cover actually made of?

basically, could you just explain how it worked?

EDIT: after some more looking, i think i understand how it works... still don't get the part about the hinges...
how was it for water leakage?

and this is the same thing, right?

cause the rollbak doesn't come for a '93
i'm seriously thinking of this one...

it rolled away, and while it was out, it would lift up...for easier access i guess. As for water, mine leaked like a B*tch. But that was mine, the one get may be tight as a ducks ass.

don't like the leakage...
but i could prolly think of a way to get around that...

curious, did it leak before, or after people danced (or whatever happened) on top of it?
