He's gonna run a turbo that's good for ~900 hp, through a stock Throttle Body?

You didnt scroll over either. And yes having a turbo that size is a waste o money if youre not gonna upgrade other components :joystick:

he' got stock internals, so what's the point of running that turbo to it's max?

stock throttle body will hold in excess of 400hp, i think that's about all he's running.
nothing like having that kinda potential though!

Man, if he upgraded all of his stuff, that thing would be deadly!:alf:

What's the point of running that big of a turbo, on a stock car???

Since the motor is so unevenly matched for that turbo, it will take a while to turn that thing. Can anyone say LAG?

wha? I agree it's a nice setup, but hell if you are gonna slap that big of a hairdryer on a car, at least be able to run it. IMHO, that's just pissing money away.

it's actually a T-64

That's not that bad then :)

That heat diaper makes its look huge. The 64 is common in street kits.

The K-member and A-arms should be on a UPS truck right now. If I run into a shitstorm with this install too, I'm never working on my car ever again.

he needs one of those reichard racing intakes.. with the oval cobra throttle body. and forged internals. and turbo cams. the list goes on and on.

if that was a properly matched combo, that would be awesome!

if a 3.0 straight six (i.e. supra) can spin a t-76, then a 4.6 should have less of a problem!

i didn't say it couldn't spin it.... but in reality, you are gonna put a turbo designed for outlaw cars on a stock motor?

people put T-88's on stock supras...

yeah eyah tony, i hear ya, but the bottom end on a 5.0 is much different (better) than a 4.6

And the dyno graphs have no mid range curve. The line just shoots up past 5K. Thats why most Supras with huge turbos use nitrous to pick up the lag... when they could have just used a better matched turbo to start with and made just as much power. No torque curve sucks balls... ive seen tons of Supras at the track go low 12s at 120+

the supra bottom end is like the DSM bottom end!

minus the capability of handling 3-400 more HP

yeah, well the 4.6 bottom end is nothing like it.......it can barely handle its own power
