I'm gonna punch my car in the grille insert :hissy:
Coming home from Tally this morning and the SES came on. I ran to AutoZone and it read out P1133. After some searching, I found that this is a pretty common code for people with LT's installed. Can be an exhaust leak, or simply the headers cool well enough that the O2's can't stay heated for their duty. I'm leaning toward the can't stay hot enough since I crawled up under there when I got home and all was clear leak wise.
Now, the question of the hour: Has anyone else here had that code, and what did you do to fix it? Some say the rear Vette sensors do it since they run hotter, however some didn't have luck that way. This does cause an open loop condition so my mpg will suffer, so its gotta go. Can it be tuned out? I know the code can be made to disappear, but that might not fix the rich condition.

how bout going wot a bunch. it'll heat those bichez up. you've got plenty on good places to do it out there.
WELCOME TO MY NIGHTMARE.
I've been having the same o2 sensor issues nonstop since my headswap. P1133 and P0131. I have tried many things and nothing seems to work. My next step will be to try vette rears. If that fails, I just might lose it.

You can always wrap part of the header by the 02 sensors. I wouldn't wrap the whole header though, it'll get too hot.

Yeah, that same info was on ls1tech a long time ago.

As it's only bank 1/passenger side for now, I'm going to pick up one of the Vette rear O2's tonight and I'll report back here as to how that goes.

holy hell--started my car this morning and SES light on. had it scanned and its a P0155--oxygen sensor heater circuit inop. i'm gonna reset tonight and see if it comes back. i'm assuming if the heater circuit did fail then i have to replace the oxygen sensor.
ryan--did you get a new sensor?? and did it work for you??
so in short--if you drive a GM do not, i repeat do not go to andy's house or the ford ghost will own your oxygen sensors and your spark plug wires.
:owned:
edit: my WOT theory did not work for me

Come to think of it, it's when I was fully considering selling my Mustang that the thing broke on me. That place truly is cursed!
I went to AZ and they only had one with the longer cabling. Advance in Crawfordville had 2, but they didn't have the longer cable. I haven't put it in yet because after resetting the PCM the other night (same day it came on) it hasn't returned. We'll see how long it lasts. I wrapped the wires on the pass O2 because they hit the header and started to melt the connector a bit (electrical tape to the rescue!), but the wires and actual connection are fine. No wrapping of the header yet, don't want to bake the coating.

Computer! computer! computer! That was the main reason I got rid of my Camaro. Went to a good old school setup. I was like :D …… no light at all no running rich no timing problems. Change the cam just move the distributor change the jets no computer reprogramming. (such a relief) But is sucks on gas!!
