This may be old news, but they suck. Too small, no balls whatsoever, and IMO hideous styling.
I was out witht this girl and she asked if i wanted to drive her car, and im thinking "hmm, i've never driven a BMW before" so its supposedly the ultimate driving machine huh? I was thoroughly dissapointed.
When we pulled back into the parking lot she was like, "so what do you think? my cars pretty fast huh?" I didn't have the heart to tell her it was a piece of shit.
I did point out to her that her rearend was whining though :joystick:

Damn, coming from the driver of an almost 16 second car, that Z3 must have been REAL slow.
It's probably the original one which is a dog. My old explorer outran my buddies Z3 back in the day.

Posting of cost beyond normal inquiries is ghetto. Certainly you are in a much better cost per second scenario than I. Under that logic, I should trade mine in for a car under $1000 and slower than 16 seconds.
It wasn't meant as an insult, just an item of relativity.

Sure his cost per second ratio is lower, but you have an E55. It shouldn't matter because E55's are the shit. Period.
I drove a Z3 before and didnt find it that slow. I mean it wasnt an ass kicking machine, but it was enjoyable to drive. I wouldnt own one though ;)

The original which I think was a 1.8 litre is amazingly slow. My V-6 explorer honestly outran it. The next year or so afterwards they offered a 2.3 (I think) which was quick. The M version is pretty sweet and can be juiced more than any other BMW (other than the E36 M3) that I know of.

Im not sure what engine this one had on it, or what year it was. I admitedly dont know much about them, i just remember all the hype about them when they first came out, and it just didn't live up to the hype for me.
and Derek, i didn't mean to be an ass, i just get a little touchy about my car sometimes. Its hard going from a car that noone could really talk shit about to what i have now, but you just wait and see, it'll be fast soon enough.

adam--those things are turds. some guy tried to run away from in a z4 once, but was unsuccessful. i'm thinking if you would have kept your old car it would have been in the 10's by now. adn this is why the big block needs to go in your new one. however, when i think about you gettin rid of your old car, i just look out at mine and smile at the chrome i'm sitting on.

I know for sure it would have been deep into the 10's by now. I kick myself in the ass every single day for getting rid of it.
