After having encountered this (again), I thought I would ask others about it. First cars, that is. What it was, who paid for it, and how old were you when you got it?
Of course the truck is my first, it was given to me, but I had/have the means to purchase it.
Reason I ask is there are plenty of 15 year old girls getting 2005 model cars

My first was a 4 banger too. 1986 T-Bird turbo coupe. Hell, it wasn't that bad, the car was only 9 years old when we got it.

1995 Chevy Pickup, 350, blue. it was a hunk of shit.
Actually I technically inherited my parents '91 Jeep Cherokee but I sold it (I was not even 15 at the time) and the money went towards the "convince my uncle to sell me his truck" fund.
Technically my "first" car was a 81 Escrot Wagon. It lasted a drive to Super Lube and a half way home before overheating and warping the head. I didn't know at the time that Super Lube didn't check water in the radiator unless asked. I told them to do EVERYTHING tho.
I then went and got my '88 Mustang Gt Vert. And paid for it by running my mom's laundrymat in Woodville. When I graduated HS, my parents paid the rest of the car off (~$7000).

My first car, the Fiero in my avatar. I'm the 2nd owner.
Had to buy it myself and still payin insurance and gas(really sucks).
Althought I wish I didn't have to pay for it all, It has taught me to value something.
Alot of kids are spoiled and don't appreciate what they have until its gone.
I've worked hard for it.

My first car was the 1994 Trooper that I'm currently trying to sell. I bought it when I was 15-1/2. It was $5200 w/tax, tag, title. I paid for half and my parents paid the other half. It had 105k when I bought it. Now i am selling it to pay for the Fox plus goodies...

My first car was a corolla that I shared with my step dad for my first 6 months of driving. The first car that I had that was all my own was a 92 Blazer with the 4.3L and my parents put down the cash for it 6 months after I turned 16.

i was almost 16 when my folks bought me my first car. truck actually--1987 dodge dakota 4x4 on some 31x10.50's. i used to like to go in the mud until i learned that it does nothing but break your vehicle. when i moved to college, i got my mom's 92 jeep cherokee with the 4.0 HO and that fucker was fast..0-70 then it had nothing. drove it til 02 when i purchased my car which is in my avatar.

My first car was a Chrysler LeBaron Turbo, Rents bought it for me, paid $500, and we found that it liked to randomly quit...so they traded it for the stucko job on our house

74 VW Bug. My parents got it for me in 81 when I was a sophomore in HS. Took my driving test in that car in the dead of winter in Anchorage. That was fun.

91 chevy corsica given to me by my sister. It was pretty quick, but every now and then the door latches would freeze (i lived in New Hampshire) and they wouldn't shut all the way and would fly open going around corners.

Parents bought me a 1999 prelude when I was 15 for saving them money they would have to pay in colllege, since it is pretty much paid for. I convinced them with some money to loan me some money for the supra. I owe them 6k (diff of the supra and prelude) I will pay them back when I get out of college when I buy them a car.

I drove my Moms station wagon until I fixed my actual first car which was a 1981 Mustang with a 200 straight 6. I still have that car though its a POS junker now but it evolved into a junkyard special with so many diffrent year parts. LOL. Its a 5.0 with an overdrive tranny and an 8.8 rear now.
1967 Mustang coupe with a 200 straight six - The car was a piece of junk and never saw the street, but hey it drove around the yard. I ended up needing the motor and tranny from it for my second car, which was a 1968 coupe.

First car was an ex-FHP notchback. Dropped in a 306 with E cam and 1.7s my junior year of college. I miss that car. Sold it after I bought my current ride, the 97 Cobra.

my first car was a $1500 1970 orange ford torino. it had a 351c and an fmx tranny. switching from neutral to drive would chirp the tires. i went through 3 rebuilds in 2 years. plus was involved in around 8 accidents. i caused 2 of them. girls loved it till they got out of the car and smelled like gas.
