It is necessary to have turndowns/dumps or can I just run the muffler with no exhast behind it? TIA.

I heard people say without dumps, the exhaust gases heat up the rear fluid some :shrug:

True, and the dumps will keep some of that exhaust gas out of the car, especially since you've got some open holes in the floor with it gutted.
You might want to have them turned out a bit as well as down so that when idling some of the exhaust will be blown out the side instead of building up at the bumper. Prolly not a big deal, but it wouldn't hurt.

ran the 94 for a few years with no turndowns, seemed fine to me. I had turndowns at first then i took them off.
