Water allergy, or "Aquagenous urticaria", is such a rare condition that there are less than thirty patients in the whole world that have been diagnosed with it.
30 patients? Thats weak. :???:
thats one really freak case, but i guess you didnt specify the amount of people that have it. Pretty crazy!

well, i gotta side with brian on this one.
he called it last night, we all made fun of him, and then he provides info to back up his claim. All you're doing is still calling him a moron and trying to attack the credibility of the website?

LMAO
Do you remember when microsoft had to go to court for monopolizing software? They simply ran competitors into the ground. Bill Gates doesn't go 50/50 on anything. I still don't buy it.

A more appropriate place to look for medically based information would
be WEB sites maintained by medical professionals. TV WEB sites and the
Maury show really are not always accurate in their representation of
information. Urticaria or hives is a response by the skin in which bumps
or wheals are formed accompanied by itching. Urticaria can be acute, lasting
4 to 6 weeks, or chronic, lasting for longer than 6 weeks. Urticaria can
accompany some allergic disorders but there is a group called physical
urticarias which can be reproduced by physical stimuli such as pressure,
vibration, heat, cold, water, increases in body core temperature and other
physical factors. Physical urticarias are not considered allergic reactions.
For example, one of the physical urticarias is called dermographia. Simply
rubbing the skin with any object or your finger can produce the wheals.
Water or aquagenic urticaria is one of the physical urticarias and is not
considered to be an allergy. The confusion comes with the fact that the
urticaria produced by a physical factor looks like the urticaria produced
during some allergic reactions.
Here is a good WEB sites describing this interesting medical topic at:

I am not saying people cant have hives or some sort of other reaction, I have heard of that, but allergic to it to the point of that... seems a little crazy.. sorry... but I know some people due to certain minerals in water in certain places will have reactions, but that is not truly due to the water... and stops if they move.. or use different water... that is all I am saying here...
