I know someone in the club has a tester. Would it be ok if I used it sometime? Thanks

I don't have one. I have a general compression tester if you want one of those. Think your engine is getting weak?
T has my leakdown tester at his place.

When you say a general compression tester, what do you mean? I do think my engine is starting to fall off a bit but more than anything, I just wanna make sure everything is ok and if something is going on, I wanna catch it early so it doesnt kill everything.

With the compression guage you measure cranking compression on each cylinder to determine how close they are to each other. Usually you don't want a variation of more than 12 - 15 % between your lowest cyl. and your highest. The leak down tester uses compressed air to fill the cylinder to see how long the rings and valves can maintain that pressure. I just have the guage that screws into the spark plug hole and allows you to read cranking compression.

Cool, thats what I was looking for. Im pretty sure thats what Tony has as well. Hopefully that will tell me what is going on with my 14 second car.
I have the actual leakdown gauges at Ts. And a compression gauge here.
