Matt(pendrgn) has an 80 series flowmaster and it sounds good but "Flows" dont flow all the great compared to a Dynomax or a Magnaflow. There are tons of different catbacks out there, you just have to find out which one you like the sound of best. Do some researching on LS1.com and CamaroZ28.com and see what other LS1 owners think. Good luck.

i picked up a 2 Magnaflows off ebay. ive heard the magnaflows on my buddies LS1, and it isnt as loud at WOT as flowmaster(it drones in my other truck) so i wanted a quieter yet free flowing exhaust setup....nice and smooth....after all it is a "sleeper"

I have SLP Loudmouth (w/ headers and ORY)

Ryan has Dynomouth (w/ headers and ORY)

Adrian has a cutout (stock manifolds and Y-pipe)

Bo doesnt count!

Stay away from Flowmaster....flows terribly!

Oh, just checking. Sometimes I wish that I had an LS1 so bad that I actually think that my car is an LS1. Oops my bad.

Its all good, I like the power of my LS1, but I love how deep your exhaust tone is!

hey, nothing wrong with FLowmasters, they have a great sound, I dont want total flow on my car, backpressure makes torque, torque is power... you just dont want alot of restriction, it is a balance... :)

the majority of the LS1s around here are running the lound mouth, which, as a former f-body owner sounds quite nasty to me. i think it sounds much better/cleaner than a flowmaster

flowmaster sounds too generic and not loud enough for my taste. If I were to do it again I would get get duals, or get something tame like Magnaflow with 3 electric cutouts. 2 in front of the cats (assuming I had them) and one on the i-pipe for 3 noise levels
1. Quiet
2. Loud
3. Get the fuck outta my way
