Its even better with the commentary. I didn't quite understand why they were arresting her to begin with. And then her telling him he illegally pulled her over. That was great.

She was driving on a suspended liscense and refused to get out of the car after several warnings... this is what happens when you resist arrest.

I can not freaking believe some of you people think the officer was wrong. How long were they supposed to stand there and ask her to get out of the car? She resisted arrest and she swung on an officer. What else could they have done? Let me ask you this. What would you have done of you were the officer, (this goes to the two that think the officer was wrong)?

If i was the officer first i would have told her WHY she must get out of the vehicle.
He didnt tell her what she was being arrested for before she was in hand cuffs.
You ALWAYS keep your doors locked ..always. Just cause they look like a cop doesnt mean they are a cop. (and with how many cases of FHP rapes it is still a good idea to keep the doors locked)
I need to watch this again to make sure what i saw was correct but a law enforcment officer NEVER NEVER has the right to reach into your car unless he has a warrant or after he has made the arrest. If she was pulling a gun, fine, duh, he could have reached in there. But just cause she wasnt moving fast enough doesnt not give him a right to grab at her. Her "assulting him" was simply self defense. I would have assaulted him also.
The other clips show how long the incedent was. He was quick to pull the tazer gun but! after watching the entire set of clips it doesnt seem as bad. She is an idiot. After he pointed the gun at her she should have realized he no longer cared. At this point i have no sympathy for her. She recieved the same 10 seconds everyone else does.
But doesnt it scare you how relaxed the guidlines for taser use is? I do not in anway believe that this is a "non-lethal" weapon. (side note: whatever happend to pepper spray?) The cops had no right to prevoke this woman like they did. Remember, the courts are there to punish, not the police.
I believe this is a situation where both parties are wrong. But the cops arent supposed to act like they did..making them more wrong.
EIDT: did he taser her twice? That was simply uncalled for!!

wtf was the officer supposed to do. Continue "asking" her to exit the car. He was not "punishing" her as you so eloquently put. He was simply trying to get her to comply with his orders. How long would you suggest that he wait before tasing her? And how many times should he have to ask her to exit the vehicle before he is forced to take action?

Yes, he did tase her twice. Once she was on the ground, she would not put her arms behind her back. How is that uncalled for? If he had wrestled her to get her arms around, you would be saying he used undue force.

Yes, at the point she should have realized it was a legitamite cop (her bad). and YES she should have complied (her bad again)
(like i said, both parties were wrong)
But he grabed the door and swung it open and reached in to grab her cell phone.
NO!!! (cops bad)
"she had an attitude" is that illegal????
"i knew it was a bad situation to begin with" Why?
..and yes, she was tasered twice (i read the description to the movie  )
I would like to know what the guidelines are for that situation. The other cop just grabbed her arms and put them behind her back, at least that is what it looked like. Why didnt they do that to begin with instead of shocking her again?

The other cop reached in to grab the cell phone, she swung at him, the cop on the driver side then opened the door, she was warned again multiple times, failed to comply, got zapped. On the ground, she was told to roll onto her stomach and put her hands behind her back, she failed to comply, she got zapped.
Listen to her tell him what the law states he can and can't do. Its obvious she has no idea what she's talking about and has an enormous attitude problem, that's how he knew from the get go she was going to be a problem, that's why he called for back up.
Please watch all the videos again and stop being a complete fucking retard.
Your arguments have no basis whatsoever because you obviously pay attention and know what you're talking about as well as that woman in the video and you're wasting time by keeping on.

she deserved every bit of what she got. some people just arent taught growing up to respect authority and when they finally get what is coming to them they get all in a fit about it. that cop didnt have to give her a reason to get out, if he says do it then she has to. he obviously had his reasons whether she thought so or not. people like that have no respect for authority and i cant stand it when they automatically call it racism. he would have done the same thing no matter what race.
my favorite line "maam we have been tased, we know its not that bad."
i think the smartest thing they did was to make the cops get tased so they know what it feels like, that way they wont overuse them.

Im not arguing she is an idiot and had an attitude.
Go back and read what i said.
After he pulled the taser and warned her any sane person should have stopped and complied. She didnt comply so we all got a laugh.
However, im arguing whether he assaulted her and entered her vehicle illegaly.
Im glad that any law enforcement officer that carry's a taser has to be tasered.

No. I wouldn't have had to because I wouldn't have started a telephone call in the middle of a traffic stop, I would have done what he asked if I were on the phone for whatever reason, and I don't assault officers.
And no, he didn't do anything illegally. He told her she was under arrest and to step out of the car, she refused, he went in after her. All that is moot, she swung at an officer.

yup, an illegal arrest is legal if you flee/resist.
Arguing over this is pointless. I dont think the cop (or any) should be able to reach into your car and grab at you but that would be for a jury to decide.

First of all, assault generally is an attempt to commit a battery. A battery is the offensive touching of another... a completed assault. Assault is the threat, battery is the actual beating. I'll assume that you meant battery; let's move on.
Once the officer determined she had a suspended license, he returned to the vehicle to place her under arrest. She ignored the officer's verbal instructions to step out of the vehicle. As the commentary says, he then reached in to grab her and she pulled away, which immediately escalated the amount of force necessary. Are you seriously trying to argue that a cop can't reach into a suspect's car to arrest them? Police officers are fully authorized to use force when placing someone under arrest; the amount of force used is determined through the use of force continuum.

An "illegal" arrest? Driving with a suspended license is a crime in Florida. The officer was justified in his actions.
Stop trying to analyze something you obviously know nothing about. If you had merely watched the full footage with commentary, you'd be far more knowledgable on the subject.

From what i saw he didnt hit her..he tried to grab at her (the cell phone)
so no, i dont mean battery. Tasering her the 2nd time when she was incapable of resisting would have been battery.
I think even if he did tell this lady what she was being arrested for it wouldnt have helped..but why didnt he try? Cause it is easier to just taser her?
Yes, i am aruging whether it is legal or not for a cop to grab a person in their car to arrest them. If she was fleeing or if she was a threat to them then yes, grab her dumb ass but i though police were trained to show a little bit more restraint than that.

Dito. He can put the cuffs on her just because. He doesnt have to arrest her, he can Legally Detain her without an arrest which includes cuffs. Also...when you are pulled over, and a cop ask you any questions you have to give them an answer. If not, thats called resisting an officer with/without violence. And running off at the mouth is called disorderly conduct. At this point you can legally be placed under arrest. And anymore resistance is up the officers descrestion on how to control your resistance...IE..Tazzed
Wish I didnt know that from experience
