View Full Version : Vegtable oil powered car!?!?!

Yep. I saw one today at work. We were out on a trash run and this guy pull up in a VW asking if he can take our old vegtable oiil that we put out by the dumpster in the this big container. So this guy begins to tell us that his car runs off this stuff. So I went over to talk to him to see how it worked. He said he did nothing to the diseal motor. All he did was add a second tank that was in the trunk. He has a valve to switch between the two tanks. He said he has to heat up the oil in the tank for it to go to the motor or something like that. Very strange :idea:

I saw it too. It was like an old beat up VW Jetta. It was crazy. T, how many miles did you say he had driven that thing?

Man i cant believe OGs finest fell for that guys line. The grease racketeering scene is highly profitable. Damn you guys never seen that Simpsons episode :lol:

Vegetable oil powered cars have been around for a couple years. The first one was made by a couple sandal wearing hippie type college kids in an effort to "save the world, one car at a time". Their car had such an incredible impact, that most people have never even heard of it.

i saw some shit like that on the discovery channel like 3 years ago.. it was an old VW rabbit or some crap.

He said he had around 8k miles on it with the veggy oil injection. And he did look like a hippy dude. It was funny when he came up to ask. He had 2 girls with him. One had a camera. He asked, "mind if I take some of you vegtable oil?" We were all like, "ya sure whatever." I started telling everyone he was going to use the oil to get freaky with the chicks, and they were going to film it. :lol:
