Thinking about drag radials, but I heard you can't drive in the rain.Anybody know how bad they are on wet pavement.

i'm on my first set of nitto DR's i've ever owned and i drive on them daily. mine aren't gonna last long cuz i take them on the interstate everyday. they've got a good bit of tread left and i've had no problems in the rain with them. you just gotta drive cautious with them. i won't be putting them on again when i have to replace them cuz i'll be lucky if i get 10k miles out of them and i have not abused them one bit--maybe 7 track passes with minor burnouts there.

edit--but for a car with a lot of rwhp, they are a good idea if you can afford it.

I run the 315s on my car, they hook good, and work pretty well in the rain. I also like the fact you don't have to shave the bolt or use spacers with them.

315 is the size tire he's running-me as well- 315/35/r17. if your running on the stock cobra rims, a 315 might be wider than you want on it. if you have the hook up on getting tires mounted, than i would say order them on line. if not see our buddy lloyd at tire kingdom on capitol circle if you are local.

btw--post up an intro thread if you already haven't so you can be welcomed warmly.

you dont want a 315, you want a 274/40/17

nitto drag radials are great all around tires. good dry traction, ok wet traction and, for the quality tire you get they are cheap. you can also get 10-15k outta them if you behave and run the right air pressure

the best all around wet/dry tire would be the goodyear eagle gsd3. this thing handles wet conditions better than most tires handle dry conditions. it is expensive though.

you cant really ask "whats the best tire for "insert car here" until you specify budget, and what you want outta them (wet traction, dry traction, longevity, etc)

i used to drive bfg drag radials on mine, never had a problem in the rain and sticky as hell on the dry pavement. They are a little cheaper than the nittos too.
